If you’re into High Intensity Training, you’ll want to find out more about The Kings of WOD. This groundbreaking competition is going to be the First European Fitness League for High Intensity Training athletes. Crossgen is very honored to be one of the golden sponsor of this international event, and will be providing you with firsthand information. In this 1st edition, the league is divided into 3 stages. The first will take place on July 12th and 13th in Lisbon, Portugal. Two more will be realized, in respectively Spain and Italy. The Kings of WOD is based on a unique and dynamic concept. The competition takes us on a journey to ancient times when civilizations would select their best warriors to serve in their armies, by testing their physical strengths and abilities. The participating athletes are free to choose between five different tribes to represent and defend: the Romans, the Celts, the Barbarians, the Vikings and the Iberians. After the three stages, the winner will be crowned The King of WOD.     The athletes will compete for points that will be attributed at the end of each stage. After each of the stages has been completed, the best athletes in each category (Elite Male, Elite Female, Masters Male and Masters Female) as well as the best performing athletes of each tribe, will compete each other for the title of The King of WOD. Registrations are open on the website, and the prizes are certainly inspiring: there is €10,000 in prize money as well as various supplements to be won.  Several internationally renowned athletes will be joining the event, such a Camille Leblanc-Bazinet, Rasmus Wisbech, Carmen Bosmans, Riccardo Donati and Lacee Kovács. Besides participating as an athlete, you can also sign up as a volunteer or jury member on the official The Kings of WOD website. It is a unique opportunity for you to participate, be around the athletes, and see the “arena” from a different perspective. Join this revolution! What are you waiting for? Today, Crossgen’s recipe is the amazing oats with beef protein pancake! Oat is an incredibly healthy food, due to its high fibre content, that lowers cholesterol levels and purifies the bloodstream. Its unique kind of antioxidants (avenanthramides) can also help fight free radicals. INGREDIENTS 20 g of beef protein 500 g of egg white 1 tsp. of vanilla extract a pinch of cinnamon 1 packet of baking powder sweetener to taste 200 g of oats DIRECTIONS Mix all the ingredients in a blender or a mixer Lace a ladleful of batter in a hot frying pan laced with olive oil and spread evenly As soon as it comes loose from the pan, turn it over To brown the other side Sprinkle some cinnamon on top and enjoy!   Try it and leave your comments and suggestions here or on our Facebook...
